#BoycottRush Limbaugh!

As you all probably know by now, right wing radio clown Rush “My Penis is the Size of the Oxycontin I Shovel Into My Pie Hole Like Candy” Limbaugh verbally assaulted and insulted law student Sandra Fluke live on his radio program over the past 3 days. Her “crime”? Speaking out on Capital Hill about women, contraception coverage and sexual/reproductive health. This woman, who was black balled by the GOP controlled committee on the topic because she “wasn’t qualified” to talk about women’s health, is a hero and should be celebrated and thanked for her bravery. Limbaugh disagrees with civilized Americans, and has decided to make his stand on this issue. He called Fluke a “slut” a “prostitute” and called for her to release a sex tape in exchange for healthcare. Obviously this is nothing new for Rush, but this is an especially disgusting example of his savage hate for women and anyone who is not a straight white fat man.

News analyst and commentator Krystal Ball has started a nation and internet wide boycott of the companies who advertise on Rush’s Clear Channel owned show. I fully support this effort and will participate fully. Bellow I am including a list of Rush’s sponsors along with some contact information where you can respectfully and calmly ask them if they support what Rush has said and if they do not why they still continue to do business with him? Let’s try and take this ape off of the airwaves once and for all.

POST SCRIPT: Just a shout out to our awesome President for calling Sandra Fluke and voicing his support for her views. Barack Obama is a REAL man.

[UPDATE] Carbonite has just pulled their ads! I will remove companies from this list as they remove themselves from Rush’s orbit. Also, Geico just pulled their ads as well! ProFlowers has just announced it will “reconsider” its advertising policy regarding Rush Limbaugh…keep up the pressure! Also…Apple has a Rush Limbaugh iPad Ap…I think that calls for a nice but sternly worded email to the company, don’t you?

Thank you! I am merely following the example of Krystal Ball and hundreds of grassroots internet activists! Let’s get rid of this pig.

      • Yup, did my own version too the other day. He’s such an easy target, but then again…all this attention just serves to keep him in the light a little longer. But I couldn’t resist

I personally never have seen a response of this magnitude against Rush before. I hope that something actually comes of it…and it may be happening already. Two mattress companies and possible autozone have pulled their support!

He has crossed the line of respect in a very bad way. And if companies need help finding their moral compass on this issue and need boycotts to help them I am all for it. I am amazed at the tolerance to date. Were does this end. What is the bar level. Two thumbs up for those companies that took the high road and dropped their support.
